というところ

I would say (about), I guess (about), It could be said that, About, At best

Well, it's going smoothly, I suppose, but I'd call it so-so.

Explanation

「〜というところだ」 is a rough estimate: 'about that much', 'at best that'. The speaker sizes up an amount, time or level in a loose way: 「完成まであと2、3日というところだ」 (About two or three more days until it's done), 「合格点は取れたが、まあ及第点というところだ」 (I got a passing mark, but just barely). It often goes with 「せいぜい」 or 「まあ」.

Mixed up with

「〜というところだ」 and 「〜といったところだ」: soft, 'roughly like this'.

「〜にすぎない」: flat and firm, 'nothing more than ...', with a stronger belittling or limiting tone.

Examples

I would say it would take an hour by walking.

Hanako: 'How are Olivia's Japanese skills?' Kasumi: 'I would say average at best.'

I'd say the cause of the failure was mostly too much nerves.
