ような気がする
ようなきがする
Have a feeling that
あの技はなんか簡単そう。俺でも出来るような気がする。
That technique looks easy. I feel like I would be able to do it.
Explanation
「ような気がする」 means 'I have a feeling that...'. With no firm evidence, only a hunch, a vague impression or a bodily sense, you get a hazy premonition or guess. It softens a statement and leaves room: 「どこかで彼に会ったような気がする」 (I feel like I've met him somewhere). 「ような」 can be dropped: 「~気がする」. Use 「のような」 after a noun and 「なような」 after a na-adjective.
Mixed up with
「~と思う」 is a judgement after thinking. 「~ような気がする」 is a hunch or sixth sense, without reasoning.
The particle after 「気」 must be 「が」, not 「を」 or 「に」.
Negatives: 「そんな気はしない」 (I don't feel that way at all) or 「~ないような気がする」 (I vaguely feel it won't...).
