もの・もん

Because, Cause

だって、彼女かのじょが悪わるいんだもの。

Cause she is the one in the wrong.

Explanation

「もの」 (casual 「もん」) at the end of a sentence gives your own reason, in a pouty, whiny or defensive way: 'because...'. It often goes with 「だって」: 「どうして食べないの?」「だって、嫌いなんだもん」 ('Why aren't you eating?' 'Because I don't like it!'). It often follows 「んだ」. It is mostly used by women, children, or between very close people.

Mixed up with

To elders or in formal settings it sounds childish and rude.

「もの」 is gentler and mostly used by women; 「もん」 is more childish and coy.

「から・ので」 argue a reason; 「もの・もん」 use your feelings as the reason, a bit stubbornly.

The polite form is 「~んですもの」.
