からこそ

Emphasized because, Precisely because

あなたがいるからこそ、安心あんしんできるんです。

It's precisely because you're here that I can feel at ease.

Explanation

「からこそ」 means 'precisely because'. It stresses that no other reason will do: it is exactly this cause that leads to the result. It often brings up a reason that looks surprising but is really the key: 「子供の将来を心配しているからこそ、厳しく叱るのだ」 (It is precisely because I worry about my child's future that I scold him strictly), 「失敗したからこそ、成功の道が見えた」 (Only because I failed did I see the road to success). The tone is firm, and the ending often uses 「~のだ」.

Mixed up with

「から」 just gives an ordinary reason; 「からこそ」 rules out other possibilities: 'only this reason makes sense'.

The result can't be a poor excuse. Don't say 「×寝坊したからこそ、遅刻した」. It should be an action, resolve or explanation that the speaker gives meaning to.

You were able to do it precisely because it was you. I can't do anything that amazing yet.

  3. 俺おれは努力どりょくしたからこそ、試験しけんに合格ごうかくできたんだよ。頭あたまがいいからだけじゃないよ。
