Just in case, Just to be sure

今日きょうはずっと晴はれって天気てんき予報よほうで言いってたけど曇くもってきたから一応いちおう傘かさを持もって行いったほうがいいかも。

They said it was going to be sunny all day today on the forecast, but it's starting to get cloudy so it might be better to bring an umbrella just in case.

Explanation

Here 「一応」 means 'just in case'. Things look fine now, but you take a small step to be safe. It is close to 「念のため」: 「晴れているが、一応傘を持っていこう」 (It's sunny, but let's take an umbrella just in case), 「一応上司に報告しておいたほうがいい」 (You'd better report it to your boss, just to be safe).

Mixed up with

「念のため」: for the sake of care; clearly about ruling out a small risk.

「一応」: easygoing, 'let's do it anyway'.

「一応」 has another use meaning 'more or less, passably'; that is not this one.
