につけ
Whenever, Every time something happens

Every time I see a picture with my ex-girlfriend, my heart aches.
Explanation
「につけ」 has 2 uses
1Whenever
Every time you see or hear the first thing, a feeling or memory comes up: 「写真を見るにつけ、家族を思い出す」 (every time I see the photo, I think of my family).
元カノが写っている写真を見るにつけ、胸が痛くなる。
Every time I see a picture with my ex-girlfriend, my heart aches.

2Whether A or B
「AにつけBにつけ」 puts two cases side by side: either way, the same holds: 「良きにつけ悪しきにつけ」 (for better or worse). 「何かにつけ」 means at every turn.

Mixed up with
「たびに」: can be followed by any concrete action: 「スーパーへ行くたびに、お菓子を買う」 (Every time I go to the supermarket, I buy sweets).
「につけ」: cannot be followed by an action like buying sweets; only by feelings that arise on their own.
