Explanation

「Vようが／Vまいが」 means 'whether or not V, it makes no difference'. You line up 'do' and 'don't do' for the same action, and say that either way the fact, the situation or your resolve stays the same. 「雨が降ろうが降るまいが、決行する」 (Rain or shine, we go ahead), 「彼が来ようが来まいが、会議は始める」 (Whether he comes or not, we start the meeting).

Building 「まい」: group 1 verbs take the dictionary form (行くまい); group 2 take 「食べまい」 or 「食べるまい」; 「する」 is 「するまい／すまい」; 「来る」 is 「来るまい／来まい」.

Mixed up with

「ようが～まいが」 and 「ようと～まいと」 mean almost the same; 「が」 is a bit harder, and 「と」 is used more for stating opposite conditions.

The ending is usually a firm intention (決行する, やり通す) or a fact that will not change (関係ない, 変わらない).
