マウンテンバイクを買かったが、使つかわずじまいで売うってしまった。

I bought a mountain bike, but I ended up selling it without using it.

Explanation

「〜ずじまい」 means 'ended up not doing ...'. You meant to do it, or should have, but kept putting it off; the chance passed and it was over, leaving regret: 「買った参考書は、一度も開かずじまいで試験が来てしまった」 (I never even opened the reference book I bought, and the exam arrived). The ending is almost always 「〜ずじまいだった」 or 「〜ずじまいに終わった」. The verb 「する」 becomes 「せずじまい」. It attaches to the ない-stem form of the verb (the ず form).

Mixed up with

「〜ずじまい」: it is all over and the chance is gone for good; regret and disappointment.

「〜ないまま」: just stays in the not-done state while something else happens, e.g. 「朝ご飯を食べないまま登校した」 (I went to school without eating breakfast). It does not mean it can never be done.
