Explanation

「AとBと、どちらが……」 compares two things and asks which one is more …: 「コーヒーと紅茶と、どちらが好きですか」 (Which do you like better, coffee or tea?). 「どちら」 is only for a choice between two; in speech it is often 「どっち」. Answer with 「〜のほうが……です」, or 「どちらも……です」 if both are the same. To compare actions, turn the verb into a noun with 「の」: 「泳ぐのと走るのと、どちらが…」.
