N4

それに

And, Besides, Moreover, In addition

それに彼かれは家事かじもしないんでしょう?

In addition, he doesn't do house chores either, right?

Explanation

「それに」 means 'besides' or 'moreover'. At the start of the second sentence it adds one more piece of information pointing the same way: 「このアパートは広いです。それに、家賃も安いです」 (This apartment is spacious. Besides, the rent is cheap too), 「残業が多い。それに、給料も低い」 (There is a lot of overtime. And the pay is low too).

Mixed up with

Good and bad must match: after a plus come more pluses, after a minus more minuses. It is never used for contrast.

Compare the connectors: 「それに」 adds (besides); 「それで」 gives cause (so); 「それから」 gives order in time (and then); 「そして」 is a more formal 'and' or 'then'.

In a fill-in question, when the next sentence is another equally good (or equally bad) point, choose 「それに」.
