N2
気
き
Feel like ~, Spirit
While I was relaxing in the bath, I lost the motivation to study.
Explanation
「気」 has 2 uses
1Verb + 気がある/ない/になる: the will to do
「Verb (dictionary form) + 気」 is the wish or drive to do something: 「〜気がある」 you intend to, 「〜気がない/〜気はない」 you have no intention, 「〜気になる」 you become willing, and 「やる気」 is motivation. 「行く気がしない」 means 'I'm not in the mood to go'.
While I was relaxing in the bath, I lost the motivation to study.
Alright! I am starting to get motivated!
2〜気がする: have a feeling that
「Plain form + 気がする」 means 'I have a feeling that...': a vague sense, not a clear judgment. (I feel like someone is watching me). The negative 「〜気がしない」 means 'I don't feel that...': 「勝てる気がしない」 (I don't feel I can win).
I feel like I am being watched by someone.
Shoot, I don't feel like I can finish this by tomorrow.
