Explanation

Means 'in the way of ...' or 'like ...'. It describes the specific manner of doing something, how it looks, or a tone of speaking. Common set phrases: 「こんなふうに」 (like this), 「そんなふうに」, 「あんなふうに」, 「どんなふうに」 (in what way): 「こんなふうに折り紙を折ってください」 (Please fold the origami like this); 「そんなふうに言われたら傷つく」 (I'd be hurt if you put it that way).

Mixed up with

「ふうに」 is more colloquial and stresses the concrete way something is done: 「どんなふうに料理するの？」 (How are you going to cook it?).

「ように」 is more general: besides comparison it can express purpose or a request, in speech and in official writing.

In speech, 「～というふうではない」 means 'it's not like that'.
