Explanation

Volitional form (「行こう」「食べよう」) + 「ではないか」 is a passionate call to do something together. The speaker, like a leader or a speech-giver, includes the audience: 「明るい未来のために、全力で戦おうではないか」 (Let's fight with everything we have for a bright future). Casual form: 「ようじゃないか」.

This is the tone of speeches, rallies and appeals, not of ordinary chat.

For everyday invitations use 「〜ましょう」: 「一緒に行きましょう」 (Let's go together).

「〜べきだ」 only says 'you should'; it has none of the 'all together' feeling.
