Explanation

「AなりBなり」 lists two options of the same kind and means 'either A or B, pick one and do it'. It is used for advice and suggestions.

Examples: 「電話するなりメールするなりして、安否を確かめなさい」 (Call or email, and check that they are safe), 「煮るなり焼くなり好きにしなさい」 (Boil it or grill it, do as you like).

The ending is usually advice, an instruction, a command, urging, or your own plan (「〜なさい」, 「〜てください」, 「〜よう」). It cannot describe a past fact. The particles 「を」 and 「が」 cannot follow the noun.

Mixed up with

「〜なり〜なり」: choose one; it urges the listener to decide and act.

「〜たり〜たり」: actions done by turns, or a list of examples; it can also describe what happened, as in 「本を読んだりテレビを見たりした」.

「〜とか〜とか」: casual spoken listing.
