2The way you go
With verbs of moving such as 歩く, 渡る or 飛ぶ, marks the place you go along or across: 「道を歩く」 (walk along the road), 「橋を渡る」 (cross a bridge).

3The place you leave
With 出る, 降りる or 卒業する, marks the place you leave: 「家を出る」 (leave home), 「電車を降りる」 (get off the train).
