Explanation

The negative of an い-adjective: drop 「い」 and add 「くない」: 「おもしろい」 → 「おもしろくない」. There are two polite forms: 「おもしろくないです」 and 「おもしろくありません」.

Mixed up with

In modern speech 「〜くないです」 is the most common; 「〜くありません」 is more traditional, used in writing or very formal situations. Both are correct in exams.

Do not copy the negative of a な-adjective (「元気じゃない」): never 「高いじゃない」. For an い-adjective, change 「い」 to 「く」 and add 「ない」.
