As・like, Just like

It's raining as if someone turned a bucket upside down.

Explanation

「ように・ような」 has 2 uses

1Likeness: like, as if

「ように」 before a verb, 「ような」 before a noun: 'like, as if': 「亀のように走る」 (run like a turtle).

He looks like he ate too much.

Right now, his eyes look as if he is about to kill someone.

2As ~ said

「~が言ったように」 / 「~が言うように」: 'as ~ said'; what follows matches what was said.

An accident happened just like you said.

It is beautiful, just like you say.

Mixed up with

A noun needs 「の」: 「雪のように」, 「子供のような」. A plain-form verb joins directly, with no 「の」: 「死んだように眠る」, 「飛ぶように走る」.

If a verb follows, use 「ように」; if a noun follows, use 「ような」. A quick tip for multiple-choice questions.
