How to answer each JLPT N5 grammar question type

Mondai 1 Grammar form64 questions

Choose the grammar pattern or word form that fills the blank.

  • Look at the form before the blank: dictionary form, て-form, ない-form or a noun.
  • Look at the tone at the end of the sentence: a guess, an obligation, a wish or surprise.
  • For patterns with similar meanings, check what each attaches to and when it is used.
  • Common mistake: The right meaning in the wrong form, such as a pattern that follows verbs when a noun comes before the blank.
